Coppice House Farm consists of three farms Coppice House, Shelterton Rock and Gorst Barn Farm a total of 450 acres mainly in an arable rotation Growing Wheat, Oilseed Rape, Spring Barley and Potatoes. The farm is situated at the south western end of the Wenlock edge and the soil is mainly medium to light loam overlying limestone of the Ludlow series. Part of Gorst barn consists of a very shallow sandy loam mixed with a cotswold like brash. The lowest part of the farm is about 650 ft above sealevel running upto 1000 ft. and mainly south facing.
